Montgomery Chevrolet Louisville Ky review
When I was looking for my Tahoe, I came across an ad in the news paper for a used tahoe at a seemingly to good to be true price. It was a Louisville Chevrolet dealership, that I will leave anonymous. I also saw a nearly identical Tahoe on http://bigmchevrolet website, it was a little more expensive than the one advertised in the paper, but still a great price. Obviously I called unnamed dealership first, because they had the ridiculously low price. When I called in I spoke with a salesmen, and asked him about this ad in the paper, he said hold on let me check, after a moment he got back on and said yeah we sure do, when can you come in. He then spent the next 3 minuets trying to get my name number and any other information he could pull out of me, instead of just letting me come in. Since it was such a good deal, I wanted to jump on it quickly, I figured I was going to test drive it, fall in love with it, and pick the kids up in it later that night. So I told my wife to meet me out their, I got all the junk out of my car, called my insurance agent told him I was about to go buy a car. Called my bank did the same thing. I literally did everything imaginable to make this transaction go as smoothly as possible.
I got to dealership about 45 minutes after I got off the phone with the Salesmen. Like a pack of hyenas 5-6 chain smoking salesmen surrounded my car as soon as a pulled into my parking spot, one even had the audacity to open my door for me. I was willing to look past all this for the Tahoe. I told the salesmen I was here for the Tahoe in the newspaper, he said "Great" I would love to help. He asked if was going to be trading anything in, I showed him my car, he suggested we appraise it first to see how much its worth. That took about 45 minutes. I asked him if I could see the Tahoe during this time, and he said that it was being detailed and would be brought up to us shortly. After we did the trade in form, he then suggested we do a credit app, I told him I was financing through my bank, but he replied that they could get me a better finance rate then my bank. So still not seeing the Tahoe, we took another 30 minutes to fill out and run my credit app. After doing that the sales manager said he would give me a price for the car and what I could expect my monthly payments to be. He then brought me a price that was significantly higher than the one in the ad. Needless to say I was furious. The salesmen went on to explain how that the Tahoe from the paper "sold" the night before, but they have plenty of others with similar options. I don't play games with salesmen, I left in a fit of rage. I fell for the classic bait and switch. The sales manager and his crony followed me to my car and tried to get me to stay, I did not.
On my way home I was determined to get a Tahoe, so I called Montgomery Chevrolet Louisville , and asked them about the Tahoe from the website. I talked to a very nice salesmen named Gene, I gave him the run down of what just happened, he was very understanding of my frustration. He told me he would have the Tahoe out front when I got there, and he did. He greeted me in the dealership, with the keys and a warm smile. He said you and your wife go drive it, and tossed me the keys. By the time we had got back, he was ready to talk numbers. He appraised my trade in while I was gone, and gave me a price without running my credit. The price he gave me was great, it was actually lower than the one on their website. He said that his manager was understanding of my situation, and wanted to make this go smoothly. They also gave me a great bit more for my trade in than the other Chevrolet Louisville ky, was offering me. So just like that the deal was done. We did the paper work and I was in and out of there in about an hour. So I will NEVER go to the other dealership again, and I will always give Montgomery Chevrolet Louisville Ky first dibs. I also got some free oil changes and some other pretty cool stuff from Montgomery Chevrolet Service Louisville.
