Can you purchase a brand new car from a car manufacturer that is no longer in production?

Im curious as to whether or not you could for instance go to a car dealership or somehow get in contact with a car manufacturer to find out if they could build a car that is no longer in production. For instance with classic cars (i.e. Ford Mustang, Dodge Challenger, Hemi Cuda, or even more modern cars from the 90's on etc etc). I know that car manufacturer's keep all of the design information that goes into creating a car, but I was curious if it is even possible at all for this to happen. Also Im asking this question with the idea that money was not an issue as I am sure that it would cost a pretty penny to do this.

No not from the manufacturer...Even Jay Leno has to pay big dough for his collecter cars..Some cars now a days you can buy after market and build a whole new one from scratch your self...The 69 camaro,and 57 chevys you can do this way...You still have the problem of registering the car since it does not have factory vin numbers..It,s easier to do this in some states but calif.it,s the hardest because so many people are building their own rides and DMV will only let so many be built and registered in a year...People like Chip Foose, and the late Boyd Coddington snatch up most of them...
