Jaguar XK150?

I just imported an XK150 from the USA to UK. It cost me $55000 (about £28k). It is a Classic car of course but British Import told me not classified as of ‘special Historic Interest’ so therefore for them it was not classic so I had to pay Import taxes AND Vat at over £15000!! You don’t on a car of SHI.

Take a look at the XK150... It is a classic by any standard it. is over 60 years old!

Insult to injury- they will class car as having special historic interest if; A famous person owned it or It had been in a film (The actual car)... So if a 1960s car was in an episode of Startsky and Hutch or if Madonna had been photographed in it ti would be a 'Classic'.

Jesus! is this insane or what?

On the plus side I have been offered £70k for it already.

Finally... The car was exported to the USA in 1964 in the first place, it. was born over n UK !!!!!!
