lost vehicle paper please help!?

My mom bought a car a few months ago and they gave her a blue paper that on the top it says it's the "tax collector's receip for texas title application/registration/moto vehicle tax." well she lost her purse and that paper was in there...how does she get another one of those and should she report that one stolen is it important we are worried. Please HELP! Thanks

Check with your local Department Of Motor Vehicles.

Tell, them that your mother's purse with those documents
inside were lost. I am sure that if you went to the DMV
with your mother and you and her explain the problem
they would be understanding.

I am sure they can help you out with this or know what
steps to go to get the "replacement documents".

Also, you can only report it stolen IF YOUR mother's purse
was actually stolen and there is a police report on file
after the crime was committed.

Lost is one thing, stolen is another.
