auto interior and other?

okay so I'm redoing an old truck its and 88 dakota well iv got it in about a million pieces at the moment so i have the bench seat out and just pulled out the carpet(it HAD TO GO it was nasty) so I'm looking at custom molding my own carpet because i don't really want to spend 100$ on carpet is there a way to custom mold carpet

i kinda thought about using a heat gun... but anyways thoughts tips trick or screw it and spend the Money

well noone is answering you, and i am no pro at this. i did my own in my 2 pick up trucks, just undid the chrome runner along the door, 1 had it along the firewall too. removes old carpet, ran some emery cloth over it and used floor tile cement. just glopped it on and lay the carpet on top. started at one door and rolled it back acrooss, make sure it is tight. then roll to the other door, and bolt down the runner. worked for me twice! matter of fact same carpet was in my toyota when it finally burnt . so it lasted over 12 years.
