Why You Need To Insure Your Car
In a modern world like ours today, cars are a common sight and every year their numbers are increasing in the streets and highways. If you're attention was caught by the title of this article, then chances are you must have your own car. Or at least thinking of getting one.
When you do have one or about to get one, you should know that, just like everything else in this world, it comes with a responsibility. And that is to make sure that you don't hit another car or God forbid a fellow human being. But alas, you can only do that in a perfect world; one where people master all the traffic rules and practices them by heart. The most likely scenario is you and your car will be involved in accidents and you can only hope none of them would be fatal to you or the other guy. And that reality will force you to think about why you need to insure your car. Here are some very good reasons to go call that insurance agent who's been bugging you all morning.
A. It's really expensive to fix a dent or a scratch in your car's paint. Especially if you're driving the latest model of Ford. Having insurance protects you from expenses like this. It's either they pay for everything or share a part of bill, depending on the situation you and your car is in.
B. If you happen to hit somebody, they also have medical coverage; which makes you hope and pray that when something like that happens to you, they also got insurance coverage.
C. Freak accidents do happen. Lightning strikes, fallen telephone poles, rogue cargo trucks, just to name a few. Just make sure to check your policy if they cover these. Or you can ask a lawyer to help you understand the fine print in documents like these.
D. Car Thieves. Don't think that things like this only happen in movies. They are as real as your tax collector and they can hurt you pretty bad, financially, if you don't have coverage. Again, you need to check with your agent if this is part of the package he's offering you.
So if you're one of those stingy beings who would rather take their chance against all the things mentioned here, maybe you should rethink your position on this one.

Is it against the law to tell a collector where a former employee is now employed?
One of my former coworkers gave her insurance and car loan companies our work cellphone as her work contact. Now they are calling and saying that she is avoiding them and they are repossessing her vehicle. They are looking for other means to reach her. Is it illegal for me or the company I work for to give them her new workplace information?
Actually, it's illegal for them to tell you that they're trying to collect a debt from her. It's a violation of privacy laws.
Can you tell them where to reach her? Sure, it's not illegal.
Why not call your former employee and relay the collectors' messages? Allow her to handle it however she will. And then tell the collectors that you refuse to disclose any information about her and not to call back. By law, they cannot call again or you can sure them for harassment.
