Even if you need to pay somebody to come with you and check out the used car before buying it, it would be worth it because most car problems cost quite a bit to fix. You don't want to deal with having to fix a car after just buying it either which is another reason why you should have it checked out before making the purchase.

How do I get out of a impound bill I recieved for a car that 's supposedly in my name still?

I had a guy I know tow a car to the junkyard for me, well apparently he never made it there & instead fixed the car & sold it to a guy that abandoned it on the side of the road. To my knowledge the car was already at the junkyard when I recieved the impound bill. I know, I know... a bill of sale or sellers report, right? Well, usually when you junk a car you just give them the title, which was exactly what I did when I had the guy I know come get the car. I just gave him the title. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!! And if I don't pay this $1,000.00 bill then they will suspend my drivers license! Oh yeah, the wierdest thing is this: Me & him went to the towing firm (cuz he's totally willing to take FULL responsibility of all costs) and they wouldn't work with me at all.

I don't see how they can suspend your license since the impound is not state owned. It sounds like someone is pulling your chain. Get a lawyer.
