Need some advice on buying a vintage corvette?
Considering buying a C2-C3 corvette and wondering what factors are important to consider in order to narrow my search. It would appear that a car with matching numbers if more likely to hold value and give better appreciation over time than nonmatching. Of course it would not be as driveable in order to keep mileage down. I am not that mechanical so one already restored might be preferred but also more expensive but I figure it's either pay now or pay later if significant improvements are needed. Insurance is a factor as well. Are different years more costly than others in restoration, parts availability and upkeep? Are any more likely to develop headaches than others? Any advice will be helpful.
You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here - carquotes.imess.net
